To coincide with World Architecture Day, architect and broadcaster Maxwell Hutchinson is on the hunt to find out which is the Capital’s favourite London building. He will be launching the poll live on his radio show, BBC London 94.9FM, on Tuesday 25 September at 2.00pm, after which you will be able to cast your vote at www.wantoday.com/london
There’s no selection criteria; the building can be young or old, big or small, in any style, so long as it’s within the boundaries of our great city. So whether you prefer St Pauls to St Pancras, the Shard to South Bank or the Barbican to Battersea Power Station, we want to hear from you. The building with the most votes will be crowned overall winner and announced on World Architecture Day.
We are particularly happy to be collaborating with Maxwell on this project as he is a founding trustee of our partner for the day, Article 25 – the UK charity that manages sustainable architecture projects in areas of extreme poverty and disaster.
